ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
WHY WE ARE HERE
OUR HISTORY
We are a small, friendly, independent evangelical church, located in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.
We meet every Sunday morning to sing songs of praise to God, to learn from the Bible and to spend time with other Christians, to encourage each other in our faith in Jesus.

Anyone and everyone are invited to join us and you will receive a warm welcome if you do!

The Beacon Church exists to share the truth of Jesus Christ, The Cross and the Bible.
So that people might come to faith in Jesus and be strengthened in that faith.
We encourage a life of sacrifice and service, while supporting each other as a believers in Jesus, so that we may serve and support the wider community.
The Church was founded in 1988 and was formally known as Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Under the leadership of Pastor Bob and his wife Elva, the church was established and for many years served the local community and the groups that stayed at the residential centre at Slack Top.
Through many difficult circumstances, the congregation was led by God to change the name and re-establish the vision of the church. We became the Beacon Church in 2016, and continue to serve this community.
"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned" - Isaiah 9:2
